| About Us | |
The
House Red Jazz Trio consists of the classic line up - Saxophone,
Piano and Bass. This is their most popular form although they are also
available from a duo line up, right up to a quartet adding vocals if
required. The Trio line up is excellent for unobtrusive background
jazz during cocktails and drinks receptions, dinner jazz during
the meal or at smaller events for dancing. They provide a sophisticated
ambience to your event whilst still allowing people to mingle and talk
freely.
As a four piece, drums are added extending their dynamic range again from background jazz to an all-out Swinging Dance Band. Larger line ups are available for those who really want a band with impact. Male or female vocals can be added to any line up. Repertoire is taken mainly from the
Great American Songbook, featuring composers such as Cole Porter, George
Gershwin, Rogers & Hart and Irving Berlin. Songs made famous by
Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday (not to mention Robbie
Williams) are also featured. They also have a vast array of Bossa Novas
and a handful of Modem Jazz Classics such as "Watermelon Man",
"I Wish I Knew How It Would Feel to Be Free" (Film 2005) and
Dave Brubeck's "Take 5". Their Funkier side includes tunes
by the Average White Band, Spyro Gyra and Herbie Hancock. |
